Prologue

It’s the first film that Adam Elliot has ever accepted to direct that was not his own idea and coupled with Anita Doron, whose recent script for “The breadwinner” was nominated for an Oscar, we have a creative team that will create something truly extraordinary.
Synopsis
This is a tale of an involuntary hero, a water drop called Napoleon. Unlike the other water drops in the forest, Napoleon is rather grumpy with a negative outlook on the world. He’s a droplet experiencing a midlife crisis who doesn’t appreciate his place in the cycle of water at his home near the untouched forest spring. One day a group of scientists from a mineral water company collect water samples at the spring and suddenly Napoleon finds himself in a lab in New York City. In the lab he meets a young droplet, Josey, from a canadian fracking pit. Now Napoleon embarks on the long journey across the ocean back to his forest spring, and Josey decides to tack along having no intention of returning to the oily tar sands in Canada. On their journey this odd couple meet many curious creatures, each affected in one way or another by pollution, climate change and human presence. Some are friends, others turn out to be corrupted by the new state of the ocean.Napoleon discovers that, unlike his forest spring, the world is rapidly changing for the worse. But on a floating plastic island they meet a blind turtle, who tells Napoleon and Josey about a sea unicorn living underneath the North Pole ice cap who has the power to make everything right again. Determined to save the ocean they travel along the gulf stream and end up underneath the Northern ice cap. In the deep dark waters under the ice they find Mallak, an old disillusioned narwhale, who turns out to be the “sea unicorn” from the blind turtle’s story. Mallak is a kind of “Zen Master” of the sea, but it turns out that his power is already nested within Napoleon waiting to be unlocked. Together, Mallak, Napoleon and Josey, discover that even a drop in the ocean can bring change to the world. After discovering his latent powers, Napoleon is able to return to the forest spring as a changed droplet with a new perspective and a deeper gratitude for his surroundings.
